Rev. Moses Howard, Jr., D.D.

The son of a Baptist Preacher; Dr. Howard is a dynamic pastor, preacher and teacher.

Pastor Howard’s leadership ability has been demonstrated throughout the United States.

Pastor Howard graduated from Douglass High School located in Oklahoma City. Soon after, he went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Sociology) from Wiley College located in Marshall, Texas. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree, he decided to further his education obtaining his Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling (M.Min.C.C), and a Doctor of Divinity (D.Div.) from Christian Bible College and Seminary located in Independence, Missouri. In addition to, he has an honorary Doctor of Divinity bestowed upon him from Fellowship Bible Institute, and another Doctor of Divinity bestowed upon him from Dan Larrenmore Ministries International, Inc.

Pastor Howard has been employed as the Education Coordinator for Oklahoma City Head Start Community Action Agency; Project Youth Specialist for the Oklahoma City Community Action Agency Youth Department; Director of the Child Development Center for the Oklahoma City Community Action Agency; and Counselor for Oklahoma City Public Schools.

He has served as President of the Concerned Clergy for Spiritual Renewal of Oklahoma City; President of the Progressive Oklahoma Baptist State Convention; he has sat on the Oklahoma School of Religion Advisory Board; Assistant Director of the National Evangelism Movement of West Los Angeles; Director of Regional Affairs for the National Evangelism Movement of West Los Angeles; and Vice Chairman of the National Evangelism Movement Ministries of San Antonio, Texas.  Pastor Howard was also Director of ‘The Try Jesus Radio Ministry,’ for more than 29 years with the KTLV radio station.

Dr. Howard has served as Pastor of the Greater Marshall Memorial Baptist Church of Oklahoma City, for nearly 40 years. Dr. Howard has taught and preached throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Canada. He is married to his devoted wife Mary L. Howard, and has reared four wonderful children. He is a dedicated family man and an inspiration to all in the Oklahoma City Community and surrounding areas.
